This is one of the Hamilton Show’s main drawcard events, attracting local, national and international competitors. The Derwent Valley is a big wool region, and this competition helps to promote local industry, as well as providing points for competitors to go toward state and national selection.

Come and see competitors go head-to-head and against the clock, kicking off at 9am. There’ll also be a bit of fun with the Junior Speed Sheep Shave Novelty Event. Entry is free. Children will need to register at the Secretary’s Box by 11:30am on show day to take part in this event.
